Members are involved in volunteer work in many ways, including:
- Recipe Book -
'Simple Meals for Skint Singles' has sold well at Glasgow University fresher's week each year. - Knitting gowns for still born babies
- Along with friends we also knit babies hats of all sizes for use in premature units.
- Toilet Bags for women and children in centres for domestic abuse, for refugees, emergency admission wards and long stay wards.
- Parenting Project to help parents approach problem areas from a different perspective and arrive at solutions to problems through discussion.
We are linked through correspondence and prayer with the dioceses of:
- Byumba (Rwanda)
- The N.E. Caribbean and Aruba
- Upper Shire (Malawi) Urgent Appeal
- The Rift Valley (Tanzania)
- Lagos (Nigeria)
The Mothers' Union played an effective role in providing a Relief Fund grant to Colombo, following the Tsunami of Boxing Day 2004.
