The Mothers’ Union has had a very successful General Meeting in Edinburgh this year.
On the previous evening, Wednesday 8th June 2011, we here in the Province of Scotland
welcomed around 1500 visitors to services at St Mary’s Scottish Episcopal Cathedral
and St John’s Scottish Episcopal Church. The Cathedral service was led by the Bishop
of Edinburgh, the Rt Revd Brian Smith and the preacher was the Primus of the Scottish
Episcopal Church, the Most Revd David Chillingworth, Bishop of St Andrews, Dunkeld

Meantime, the Rt Rev Dr Robert (Bob) Gillies, Bishop of Aberdeen, delivered the sermon
at St John’s where around 300 of our visitors gathered. Angela Sibley, Diocesan
President for Edinburgh (below) was among the worshippers.
