GLASGOW & GALLOWAY
Is the largest diocese and has long been associated with shipbuilding and heavy industry,
much of which has now been replaced with high-
Glasgow, the largest city of Scotland, was the European city of culture in 1990 and hosted the National Garden Festival in 1988 and the 20th Commonwealth Games in 2014.
Members across the diocese worship in their local Scottish Episcopal Churches and come together to meet annually for Worship and Fellowship at Mothers’ Union Spring Council/ Lady Day, Festival Service, Mary Sumner Day and Autumn Council. Throughout the year members sensitively spread the news of a God who loves and cares for us all by supporting families and nurturing faith in the context they find themselves.

Our previous UK and Overseas Links were with members in Byumba (Rwanda), The N.E. Caribbean and Aruba, Upper Shire (Malawi), The Rift Valley (Tanzania), Lagos Mainland (Nigeria), Chester (Province of York) and St Asaph (Province of Wales). Some information about our former links is available here.
